Victoria Figgs

Victoria Figgs is a first year PhD student in Human Development and Family Sciences at the University of Delaware. Her area of special interest is exploring ways to promote the understanding of how generational maladaptive behavior patterns in families continue the cycle of abuse and dysfunction, and whose research will contribute to developing programs which will assist families in recognizing and eliminating these patterns. She incorporates an ecological perspective to evaluate environmental influences on families. Victoria received her M.S. in Social Work from Delaware State University and B.S. in Behavioral Science along with certificates in Community Engagement and Child Advocacy from Wilmington University.
