The Global Research Series is held every semester and features internationally renowned scholars discussing contemporary issues in the field of family sciences. HDFS welcomes the entire UD community to participate in these events.
For the spring 2018 Global Research Series on Friday, April 13 at 2:00pm in 220 ALS, HDFS welcomes scholars from the University of the Aegean and the University of Patras in Greece, and the Korean National Open University.
Dr. Eugenia Arvanitis of the University of Patras’ department of Educational Science and Early Childhood Education, is returning to the global research series to discuss “Globalization of Online Learning: Building an Intercultural Third Space.”
Dr. Jinkyung Kim of the Korean National Open University will discuss “The World Leading Open University for an Open Learning Society.”
Dr. Chryssi Vitsilaki of the University of the Aegean’s Department of Preschool Education and Educational Design will discuss “Enhancing Pedagogy for Enhancing Institutional Advantages of Online Learning.”
Past Global Research Series:
The fall 2016 series featured Dr. Rosario Esteinou of the Centro de Investigations y Studios Superiors en Antropologia Social in Mexico City, Mexico; and Dr. Bernhard Nauck of Chemnitz University, Germany. The spring 2017 series featured guest scholars from Greece, Drs. Eugenia Arvanitis and Pandelis Kiprianos of the University of Patras’ Department of Educational Sciences and Early Childhood Education. The fall 2017 series featured Dr. Pia Schober of the University of Tubingen, Germany.
