Dr. Ruth Fleury-Steiner, associate professor in human development and family studies, and Dr. Susan Miller, professor of sociology and criminal justice, are involved in a partnership with the Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Delaware’s Family Court. Since 2014, they have been collecting data on the experiences of women involved in civil protection orders. UDaily explains how crucial the support of undergraduate students has been throughout this project. Olivia Blythe, a human services major interested in domestic violence prevention, is one of dozens of students who have worked on this project to gain experience with research and advocacy work.
