Alexis Ambroise

Alexis Ambroise is a doctoral student in the Human Development & Family Science graduate program at the University of Delaware. She is the current secretary of the HDFS Graduate Association. At present, she conducts secondary data analytical research specializing in population health science, as well as mental health in families. Her current research interests include the stigmatization of mental illness in Caribbean families, and how that stigmatization affects prognoses and family dynamics. She has professional and clinical experience in mental health care and treatment, as well as in vocational and care management for adults and children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Alexis received her M.S. degree in Organizational Leadership from Lehman College, her M.S. degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Molloy College, and her B.A. degree in Human Development from Hellenic College.
