Human Development and Family Sciences

UDaily spotlighted the Mid-Atlantic Council on Family Relations Conference, which was held in Perkins Student Center on October 16. HDFS sponsored the conference entitled “Families as Advocates: Health Care, Disabilities and Education”. University students and faculty joined peers from across the region, including HDFS alumni, to discuss the issues and policies impacting the field of human development and family studies. The keynote speaker, Dr. Paul Amato, president of National Council on Family Relations, discussed the health benefits of marriage and committed relationships.
