Graduate Assistantships

Graduate AssistantshipsDuring their course of graduate study, students are frequently awarded Graduate Assistantships. The Department of Human Development and Family Studies offers Teaching Assistantships (TAs), Research Assistantships (RAs), and Fellowships (FE) on a competitive basis.Graduate students may be considered for graduate assistantships available within the College of Human Services, Education and Public Policy and in the Division of Student Life. A limited number of positions are available as directors or advisors in the residence halls.

Students also are eligible for Research Assistantships with the Center for Disabilities Studies. The Center for Disabilities Studies is one of 67 Centers of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities funded by the U.S. Administration on Developmental Disabilities. Its mission is to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families throughout Delaware through education, research and services. The Center conducts program evaluations and research, provides pre-service and in-service instruction and training, and provides model services for children, youth and adults with disabilities.
